The following terms and conditions apply to all courses run through RedR’s offices.

Data Protection and Your Privacy 

RedR UK is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in a secure and transparent manner, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

By registering to a RedR training, you acknowledge and consent to the following: 

  1. Data Collection: As an individual applying for or attending a RedR UK training course or event, we will need to collect and use certain personal information from you. We are committed to the principle of data minimisation and will only collect information that is necessary for the purposes of your application, training, and related administrative functions. 
  1. Purpose of Use: Your personal data will be collected for clear and valid purposes related to your training. It will not be used in any way that is incompatible with these purposes. 
  1. Data Principles: We adhere to core data protection principles, meaning your information will be: 
  1. Data Sharing: In some circumstances, it may be necessary to share your personal data with third parties (e.g., certification bodies, training venue administration). This will only be done when essential for fulfilling the purposes of your training, under strict confidentiality agreements, and in full compliance with GDPR. 

In line with our commitment to protecting your data, we have a clear policy for how long we keep your information and how we dispose of it. 

  1. Retention Period: We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. This includes providing you with our training services, maintaining our relationship with you, assessing the training impact post-event and complying with any legal, regulatory, or accounting requirements. 
  1. End of Use Disposal: Once your personal data is no longer required for these purposes, it will be securely and permanently destroyed in accordance with GDPR requirements and our internal procedures. 
  1. Secure Destruction: We use secure disposal methods for all formats of data to ensure it cannot be accessed, reconstructed, or recovered. 
  1. Data Backups: We maintain regular and secure backups of data to protect it from loss or system failure. These backups are also subject to the same retention and secure disposal rules outlined in this policy.
