Careers

We’re looking for dynamic professionals who want to use their careers to bring change to the humanitarian and development sectors.
Participants discuss at Essentials of Humanitarian Practice training in Lviv in January 2023.

The following values inform our workplace

By living our values every day, we can create a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to do their best work. They are at the heart of everything we do:

Collaboration: Work together towards shared goals.

Excellence: Continually improve through listening, learning and innovation.

Lifelong Learning: Never stop learning, so that others can also keep learning.

Integrity: Be honest, fair and speak up.

Accountability: Do what we say we will.

These values were developed by our staff team and approved by our Trustees.

We’re committed to diversity and inclusion in our recruitment

We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, ensuring equal opportunities regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or disability.

We make the following commitments to our staff team

We regularly review pay scales across all roles, in both our UK and Jordan offices, to ensure we pay a living wage in line with inflation and benchmarking in the charity sector.

We invite feedback from our staff team and and track feedback on wellbeing and workplace culture via quarterly anonymous wellbeing surveys.

We offer hybrid working based out of our London or Amman offices across all our roles, as well as flexible working hours, remote work options, pension scheme, and 23 days of annual leave, rising per years’ service to a maximum of 28 days, as well as a number of additional types of paid leave, including birthday leave and dependents’ leave.

As a learning and development organisation, we strive to model development practices within our own staff team. Each team member has a Continuing Professional Development Plan in place, and works closely with their line manager on their own growth and development.
