Standards & Framework Development

We develop and strengthen humanitarian standards and frameworks
In addition to our core offering of training and learning programmes, RedR has a long history of supporting, leading, improving and refining a range of standards and frameworks. We have most notably done this in the WASH sector – for example through our work as Hosting Secretariat of the WASH Road Map, a global initiative convening actors behind a common framework to improve the quality, coordination, and sustainability of humanitarian WASH response.

WASH-CCI Guidance framework

As part of our WASH Cross-Cutting Issues (CCI) project in Ukraine, RedR created a WASH-CCI Guidance framework – supporting the integration of protection, inclusion and accountability into sectoral WASH programming.

By consolidating stakeholder‑endorsed tools and guidance into a single framework, RedR enabled WASH actors to more consistently address participation, inclusion and access, improving the quality and equity of WASH interventions across the programme cycle.

We also designed in-depth, relevant training and launched a curated online resource hub to promote long-term accessibility and uptake of the guidance materials.
