Develop your understanding of protection in humanitarian contexts.

RedR UK is offering a free-of-charge, innovative, high-quality online training course aiming to provide technical responders in Syria and Türkiye the tools, skills, and knowledge to better understand the importance of protection in humanitarian contexts.

This module defines the importance of protection during earthquake emergencies, explaining the ways in which vulnerable populations can be identified and what their specific protection needs are. The module also provides an opportunity to describe ways to mitigate protection risks through the programme cycle, in addition to giving participants a chance to reflect on their own role in protection during humanitarian emergencies.

The facilitated module uses participatory methods and it is expected that learners will participate in discussions and activities in order to deepen their understanding of the concepts that are discussed. Participants will be offered opportunities to share relevant personal experiences and reflections to benefit their own and others' learning.
