Richard’s core experience is infrastructure development, shelter and WASH in low- and middle-income countries including related technical assistance, institutional strengthening and capacity building. Most recently, Richard devised and implemented a technical assistance strategy to local consultants, contractors and authorities in Nigeria, and was involved in climate-change related research in South Asia, conducting scoping studies on carbon emission reduction within the transport sector in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Jo de Serrano, RedR UK CEO, is thrilled: “I am very pleased to welcome Richard Dietrich to the RedR UK team and the wider RedR family. Richard brings with him not only a wealth of experience in a humanitarian and development context, but a background in engineering, all of which fits perfectly with RedR UK's work. I very much look forward to working with Richard closely to continue RedR UK's good work.”
Richard is also delighted: “It is an exciting time within RedR UK as the organisation now embarks on the implementation of its new strategy following recent restructuring. It is great to be part of it and I look forward to working with the teams in the UK, Jordan and Sudan helping them to achieve RedR UK’s vision and goals.”
