Course covers:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Specify the guards role
  • Describe how image and acceptance & interpersonal communication is important to a guards role.
  • Describe what the threats are to you and your work and identify ways to reduce the threat.
  • Describe correct VHF Communications Procedures in the context of guard stations
  • Conduct site roving patrol
  • Display the guest and visitor procedures
  • Display the guest and visitor procedures
  • Display the correct procedure of searching, people property and vehicles.
  • Describe the procedure for handover for another security guard
  • Recording and logging of people and vehicles
  • Describe or display what to do in a basic emergency situation (fire, accident, incident, intruder etc)

 

 

Course outcomes:

This 1 day training course aims to increase participants' understanding of the major security incidents related to humanitarian agencies' compound and the prevention as well as response measures they can take to minimise the impact of the incidents on themselves, the other staff members and the property they are guarding. It targets guards and heads of guards who either have attended Security Guard Training Level 1 course or have years of have years of functional experience.

Cost:

110 SDG per day for (International NGO) 55 SDG per day for (National NGO)
