This 1 day training course aims to improve the understanding of the role of guards, for the guards themselves and to ensure the standardized practices of keeping sites and people safe with procedural responses to both standard and emergency situations

Course outcomes:
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
· Specify the guards role
· Describe how Image and acceptance & Interpersonal communication is important to a guards role
· Describe what the threats are to you and your work & identify ways to reduce the threat
· Describe the correct VHF Communications Procedures in the context of guard stations
· Conduct site roving patrol
· Display the guest and visitor procedures
· Display the correct procedure of searching people, property and vehicles
· Describe the procedure for handover to another security guard
· Recording and logging of people and vehicles
· Describe or display what to do in a basic emergency situation (fire, accident, incident, intruder etc.)
Cost:
The cost of the course is USD 50/participant/day for International NGOs and USD 25/participant/day for National NGOs (per the standard, subsidised rates).

The course will take place at the RedR UK Pakistan Office, House no. 18, Street 1, F-6/3, Islamabad, 44000, Pakistan on the following dates:
