The training programme has been specifically designed to meet the needs of staff and volunteers of humanitarian organisations in the new EU states.
First priority will be given to humanitarian organisations that are based in one of the following countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
Applicants who do not meet the above criteria will be given second priority. If the number of applications exceeds the available places we reserve the right to make a selection of participants in order to achieve an optimal mix of attendees.
Each training course has an individual application deadline after which all individuals will be informed as to whether their application has been successful. Once places have been issued, participants are required to pay the registration fee to guarantee their place.
Accepted candidates are also required to complete a short online survey before and after the course and if sponsored by their organisatoin, provide contact details of their supervisor who is expected to complete a brief post-training questionnaire. These enable us to assess the impact of the programme.
For individuals working in and organisations from new EU countries and Croatia, as well as the countries below, the registration fee is €10 per person, per training day:
Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey
For individuals and organisations outside of these countries, the registration fee is €40 per person per training day.
All training resources, accommodation and meals are included in the registration fee. This has been made possible through the support of the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Department (ECHO). The registration fee is non-refundable. Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses.
Accepted NGO-participants from new EU member states will be able to apply for a reimbursement of their travel costs from TRIALOG. However, only a limited number of participants will benefit from that and only for courses held before 30 August 2012. More details will be given at acceptance notification.
Applications for several courses is allowed.
Applicants who require a Schengen Visum for training participation require for their application a letter from the organisation supporting their attendance, stating passport details and indicating how the trip will be funded.
If you would like more information, or to book a place now please email our training team.
Please note that applicants will be required to upload a copy of their CV on the application form.
