Report writing serves an important purpose in humanitarian agencies and is a common and necessary task for staff in various levels and roles throughout the organisation. Nevertheless, report writing can be challenging; reports must analyze the information that is presented, draw consistent conclusions, and make sensible and practical recommendations, otherwise they risk falling short of their objective. In the relief sector, there is often the additional challenge of producing reports, while still engaging and valuing staff working in stressful and chaotic environments.

This two-day course is an ideal way to get some top tips and tools to help you write reports that will successfully convey your message. Report Writing covers a wide range of topics that will equip you with skills and techniques to write clear and engaging reports that encourage the reader to take action on your recommendations.
This course is aimed specifically at those for whom report writing is a typical part of their job. However, it would also be useful for anyone who is interested in improving their report writing skills.
