The ability of NGOs to deliver aid is dependent on their access to funds. While proposals are important, it is the quality of project proposals that determines whether or not funds are ultimately received. Therefore, it is essential for the operation of humanitarian programmes that organisations have the capacity to design, write and deliver high quality project proposals.
This course will focus on aspects of what makes proposals effective and successful, and will introduce participants to best practices in proposal writing and help them to develop the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in their proposals. It will provide the necessary skills to meet the competitive demands of proposal writing in response to national and international funding opportunities, and to improve their efficacy in presenting and defending proposals.
This course is aimed primarily at programme officers and managers, but is also appropriate for any staff involved in preparing and writing proposals who wants to improve their skills and understanding of the proposal writing process.
